The North Carolina Education Cloud (NCEdCloud) Identity and Access Management (IAM) service provides single sign-on access to educational applications including Canvas, NCSIS (Infinite Campus), and instructional tools. Access your account using your standard credentials.
How to Access the Official Portal
Follow these steps to sign in to the official NCEdCloud IAM portal:
- Open a modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) on your device.
- Navigate to the official NCEdCloud IAM login portal.
- Enter your username, which is typically your numeric State UID (Student ID number or employee UID, up to 10 digits), or your designated email Alias ID.
- Click Go to proceed to password and multi-factor authentication.
- Enter your password and complete any required multi-factor authentication challenge.
Username Guidelines
Your NCEdCloud username is determined by your role in the North Carolina public school system:
- Students: Your numeric State UID (Student ID number, up to 10 digits) provided by your school or Public School Unit (PSU).
- Teachers & Staff: Your numeric State UID or designated email Alias ID configured by your PSU administrator.
- Parents: Parents do not log in to NCEdCloud directly; parent access to student records is handled through the NCSIS Campus Parent portal.
Common Login Issues
If you experience difficulties logging in, verify that caps lock is disabled, clear your browser cache, or review our troubleshooting guide. If your account is locked after multiple failed attempts, wait 30 minutes or contact your school technology coordinator.
